Zero Discrimination Day: “To protect everyone’s health, protect everyone’s rights”

The International Day of Zero Discrimination is an annual observance that highlights the importance of promoting equality, inclusivity, and respect for all individuals regardless of their race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

GRACARO is an organization that focuses on the vulnerable persons in the society and bringing hope to the hopeless. It is their joy as an organization to ensure that everyone is regarded in the society as one with no bias. They advocate for inclusivity as well as making the disabled have a voice in the society, thus joining their voice with the international community to commemorate this day.

Celebrated on March 1st every year, this day serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts needed to eliminate discrimination and create a world where everyone can live with dignity and without fear of prejudice. Commemorated this year under the theme, “To protect everyone’s health, protect everyone’s rights”, it serves as a powerful reminder of the need to treat everyone equal regardless of their status.

It is therefore a day to remind us of the collective responsibility to eliminate discrimination and protect a world where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and equality. By taking action against discrimination within our organizations and communities, we can contribute to a more inclusive and harmonious society, where diversity is celebrated, and discrimination has no place.

Let us join hands to create a world free from discrimination and embrace the principles of equality and respect for all.
