Organizational Networking: GRACARO Joins CAMGEW in Building Strong Connections for Impact

In today’s interconnected and fast-paced business landscape, organizations highly recognize the need for networking. It does not only help in knowledge acquisition but also in creating new opportunities, collaboration and growth. For organizations to thrive in an increasingly competitive environment, it is important to network. By connecting with likeminded organizations from diverse backgrounds, organizations can get more insights, innovative ideas, and potential partnerships for project implementation and impact.

The networking event was organized by CAMGEW, (Cameroon Gender and Environment Watch) with the coming together of several organizations to showcase what they have been able to do so far as an organizations. The Civil Society networking event was under the theme: Inspire and Accelerate Positive Change in Gender Equality Towards Conservation Outcomes. This was at Blue Pearl Hotel Bamenda, on Saturday 23rd March 2024.
The networking event was made up of panel discussions from the different organizations, project pitches, organization activities at the various exhibition stands, traditional dance and fashion shows which enabled the exchange of knowledge and expertise among professionals from the different organizations.

Participants from the different organizations were able to share how important the event was to them;

Adamu Zubaida Goh; Voice of Women (VOW)
Being a member of voice of Women organization, we have the passion to empower young women and train them in different skills. Me coming here was to create awareness of our existence through the panel discussion, get collaboration and look for other organizations which are linked to ours so that we can create partnership and look for organizations which we may not directly partner with, but we will all promote the same aspects; not only looking for organizations that are women based, but organizations that can as well support women.

Coming here, I was expecting an interchange with the various civil society organizations and organizations on conservation. We should go organic; we should do agriculture and we should care for nature.

Agha_ah Salome A.; DESA ENTERPRISE

I have been privileged to meet other organizations that work towards conserving the environment for sustainability. Being into organic poultry production, it is a way to help because the manure we have is used by farmers to produce things organically which is a way of conserving the environment. I want to encourage especially the youths. Being a youth there is nothing too small to start with. Have a vision; be goal oriented and be ready to start from somewhere. Be patient enough to allow the seed you have sown to grow. Be in a space with people that have the same goals as you and people who would impact you positively especially on what you are venturing into.
In today’s interconnected world, organization networking has become an indispensable tool for growth, innovation and long-term success. By actively participating in networking activities, organizations can expand their opportunities, exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration, build a strong reputation, and access valuable resources and support. In essence, it acts as a catalyst for growth, enabling businesses to reach new heights and unlock their full potential.
