GRACARO, as a humanitarian, non-governmental organisation in Cameroon created under Law No 90/053 of 19th December, 1990 on the Freedom of Associations in Cameroon, operates on and is committed to the Core Humanitarian Principles of Humanity, Neutrality, Impartiality, Independence and others in all its activities.

GRACARO’s main objectives to advocate, protect and promote the rights and improve upon the livelihood of vulnerable persons in the society as well as provide material, financial, moral and spiritual assistance as need arises. GRACARO supports and promotes the education of the less privileged on organic agriculture, processing and transformation of local farm produce for economic empowerment and self-reliance.

GRACARO initiates and promotes programs aimed at addressing the social, moral, financial and spiritual needs of these persons, help delinquent youths correct their offending behaviours and rehabilitate them to their communities. Our actions are inspired and directed to bring hope to the hopeless as instructed in Matthew 13:44 and James 1: 27.

Promoting Access to Quality Education

GRACARO seeks to support the efforts of the government and education partners in enhancing the development of moral, civic and intellectual competences of
Collaborate with education stakeholders to ensure that every child has access to quality education which is a fundamental right of every
Carry out activities to reduce illiteracy among young persons and the youths, through the use of inclusive approaches.
Complement the work of the government, national and international agencies in providing the required tools for effective teaching and learning in young children and youths, with particular attention to vulnerable children

Advocating, Protecting and Promoting the Rights of Vulnerable Persons Vulnerable Persons

Develop programs for the assistance of socially vulnerable persons and promote gender equality, human rights and education for women and girls,
Advocate and create awareness on the international and national legal instruments for the protection and promotion of the rights of people living with disabilities.
Take actions to eliminate stigma and discrimination against persons with disabilities and carry out activities that favour the empowerment of people living with disabilities, and fight violence against women.

Promoting and Improving Access to Healthcare

Promote access to quality healthcare for vulnerable persons in the areas of health promotion and strengthening of health systems.
